Apfelmuß / Appelsauce

Ingredients

  • 500g apples (peeled)

  • 1 cinnamon stick

  • 1 tbsp sugar

  • 250 ml water

Method

  1. Peel and core 500 g apples, then cut into cubes.

  2. Bring 250 ml water to boil in a saucepan with 1 tbsp sugar and cinnamon stick.

  3. Add apples and and let simmer covered for 20 minutes until all water is gone.

  4. Blend apples with a blender. I prefer leaving a few cubes unblended for more texture.
