Method

  1. Bring a frying pan to medium heat, add 2 tbsp sugar and let melt. Add 12 whole walnuts and mix with the sugar for about 30 seconds, using a wooden spoon. Take walnuts out when they are glazed with sugar and place them on a sheet of baking paper to cool down.

  2. Wash 12 figs, dry them with kitchen roll and trim the stems off. Cut a cross into the figs, leaving the bottom connected.

  3. In a small bowl, mix 120 g soft goat cheese and 1 tbsp finely chopped rosemary until well combined.

  4. Use a plastic or piping bag or alternatively a teaspoon to fill the figs with goat cheese.

  5. Place one walnut on each fig and optionally garnish with more rosemary.

  6. Store in the fridge until served.

Enjoy!
