Ingredients
For 2 portions
(230 kcal, 6 g protein, 7 g fat)
80 g oats (⅔ cup)
180 ml oat milk (¾ cup)
1 banana
1 apple
4 tbsp flaked almonds
4 tbsp condensed milk
1 tsp ground cinnamon
2 tbsp raisins
Water
2 jam/glass jars
Method
Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F).
Dice the apple into small cubes. In a small saucepan over low heat, combine the apple, 2 tbsp raisins, 1 tbsp cinnamon, and a splash of water. Cook for about 5 minutes, stirring regularly, until the apples are softened. Set aside.
While the apples cook, mash the banana in a mixing bowl with a fork. Add 80g oats, 4 tbsp flaked almonds, 1 tbsp cinnamon, and 80 ml (⅓ cup) of oat milk. Stir everything together until well combined. The mixture should have a slightly runnier texture than porridge.
In a small bowl, combine 4 tbsp condensed milk with 1 tsp ground cinnamon. Stir until smooth.
To assemble the oat jars, layer the ingredients as follows in your oven-safe jars:
First, spoon in a layer of the oat mixture.
Add a layer of the cooked apples on top.
Drizzle with a spoonful of the cinnamon-condensed milk mixture.
Repeat the layering process, finishing with some flaked almonds, and a drizzle of the condensed milk on top.
Place the jars on the middle oven rack and bake for 30 minutes, or until the top is golden and set.
Once baked, garnish with additional cinnamon-condensed milk if desired.
Enjoy warm or prep them as your take-away breakfast. The baked oats will keep 3-4 days in the fridge.
