Nutella Stuffed Brioche French Toast

Who is in for a naughty (but so worthy) treat for brunch this weekend? This Nutella filled brioche French toast takes indulgence to the next level 😮‍💨

Ingredients
For 2 servings

  • 4 slices of brioche

  • 1 egg

  • 50ml milk

  • 4 tbsp Nutella

  • 1 tsp almond extract

  • Handful of berries

  • Drizzle of maple syrup

  • Icing sugar, for dusting

  • Knob of butter


Method

  1. In a shallow dish, whisk together 1 egg, 50 ml milk, and 1 tsp almond extract.

  2. Spread 2 tsp of Nutella on each of 2 slices of brioche. Top with the remaining slices to make sandwiches.

  3. Briefly soak each sandwich in the egg-milk mixture on both sides. Set aside.

  4. Heat a frying pan over medium heat. Melt the butter, then add the brioche sandwiches. Fry for about one minute on each side, or until lightly browned.

  5. Plate the French toast, top with berries, drizzle with maple syrup, and dust with icing sugar if desired.
